ACCEPTABLE

 

CARDBOARD:  Cereal Boxes, Pasta boxes, Shipping Boxes, Corrugated Boxes, (No packing materials or Pizza Boxes)

PAPER:  Newspapers, Junk Mail, Envelopes, Catalogs, Soft Cover Books, Telephone Books, Brown Bags, Magazines and Inserts, White and Colored Paper (no metal bindings).

PLASTIC:  #1 through #7, Clean Food & Beverage Containers, Milk, Water, Juice Bottles & Cartons, Detergent Bottles, Rigid Plastic Tubs, Etc. with some exceptions*. 

GLASS:  CLEAN Bottles and Containers any color (NO LIDS).

CANS:  CLEAN Aluminum, Tin, Steel, Pie Plates, Trays, Foil (Must be put in trash if any food residue.).

UNACCEPTABLE

 

-Windows, Glass (other than bottles & containers), Mirrors & Light Bulbs

-Dishes, Pyrex, Ceramics

-Foam Packaging, Styrofoam, Plastic Bags, Plastic Wrap, Plastic Film*

-Recyclables containing Food Waste, Paint or Oils​

-Large Steel Items, Car Parts, Small Appliances, Etc.**​

-Electronics, TVs, Computers, Etc.**​

-Hazardous Materials (Poisons), Batteries, Fluorescent Bulbs**

-Yard Waste, Leaves, Grass, Christmas Trees (Contact local town for disposal)

-Trash, Diapers, Clothing**

If in doubt, call & ask or throw it out.  Wishful recycling spoils everything!
